Trustees and Administration

Board of Trustees

The trustees ensure that there is a strong accountability in all aspects of governance within the church.  They oversee the business framework of the church and ensure it fulfils all its legal and financial requirements.

The chair of trustees meets with the pastoral leadership team on a regular basis.

Richard Brown

Trustee (Pastoral)

Before becoming lead pastor full time, Richard worked for a large IT company as a manager and research scientist.  This valuable experience helps him ensure that everything we seek to do pastorally and strategically, is also done with proper consideration for our legal responsibilities as a charity.

Michelle works as a School Business Manager which involves making sure she is up to date with the local authority’s safeguarding policies and procedures.  Michelle's experience and training through thirtyone:eight means she is able to bring specialist knowledge to her role as a trustee and safeguarding lead for NLC.

Richard Penska

Chair of Trustees

Richard has a finance and governance background and a real heart to help those who are disadvantaged in our society, particularly young people. He helps to ensure that NLC is a welcoming and safe place for everyone and that we are generous in our giving of our time and resources as God has been generous to us.

Administration

Behind every great leadership team are great administrators.  They look after the day to day running of everything we do, from keeping the accounts up to date to liaising with statutory authorities.

She loves to take your money, which is cheerfully given by everyone, and ensures that it is banked and then distributed in line with the direction of the trustees.

Pete Moorcraft

School4Kids

Pete was previously employed by the local authority for 43 years and has recently retired from the NHS in Bristol.  He has been involved in the administration of the School4Kids project from the start in 2014 and is responsible for creating newsletters, monitoring finances, initiating fund raising activities and liaising with the school director in Solwezi Zambia. Pete lives and breathes School4Kids.
